Restoration of America Foundation Announces Winter 2026 Scholarship Award Recipients
Outstanding Students Honored for Excellence in Understanding the U.S. Constitution
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Restoration of America Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its Winter 2026 The Constitution Scholarship program. This year’s distinguished awardees were selected from a highly competitive national applicant pool and exemplify the Foundation’s mission to inspire the next generation of informed, engaged citizens.
“The U.S. Constitution is the bedrock of American liberty and self-governance. These scholarship recipients have demonstrated not only an exceptional command of this vital document but also a genuine appreciation for the enduring standard of life and liberty. We are honored to invest in their futures,” stated Foundation Founder and CEO, Doug Truax.
Mary Crosby of WA, The Constitution Scholarship $10,000 winner, was fascinated by how the writings of the founders reiterate the importance of a government that supports virtuous people. She noted, “That not only should the law of the land encourage wisdom and virtue in representation, but it should also aim to sustain it. There must be a return to the self-evident truths on which America was built.” Mary plans to attend Thomas More College in Kentucky.
The Scholarship $5,000 winner, Eleanor McKloskey of NC, found it interesting that “each department of the government must be separate. However, the departments share in some powers, creating the concept of ‘balance of powers’ that ensures that one branch cannot take over the others. This political construct protects the republic and is in the interests of the people.” Eleanor is planning to attend Miami University of Ohio.
Joseph Vondrachek of VA is a student at the University of Virginia School of Law. He is the $3,000 Scholarship winner. Joseph was inspired to continue to learn about the Founding Era and our Founding Fathers. He said, “The program provided me with critical historical context and instruction on the original meaning of the Constitution and provided an excellent baseline in preparation for law school.”
An additional 16 students were awarded $2,000 scholarships. Scholarship recipients were evaluated on the strength of their written essays and demonstrated commitment to civic education.
The Constitution Scholarship semi-annually awards students who demonstrate an exceptional understanding of the U.S. Constitution. Awards range from $10,000 to $2,000. Applications for the summer 2026 cycle are open, and the deadline is July 31, 2026.
